The Fisher Space Pen Company

The Fisher Space Pen Company developed their initial remarkable writing instrument after the founder, Paul Fisher, first invented a universal ballpoint pen refill. He used a special ink that only ran when the ball in the pen point moved. By pressurizing an ink cartridge, a pen that could write upside down, in zero gravity or even underwater was the result and the Fisher Space Pen Company was born! NASA tested these new space writing pens for two years and began using the AG-7 on Apollo 7 in 1968. Even the Russian space program adopted these legendary pens.

Fischer space pen or spacepens

Of course, you do not need to be in space to see the advantage of these pens. Since the Fischer space pens, other imitations have appeared. Anyone can proclaim themselves astronaut pens, but only the Fisher is carried on NASA missions. Do not fall for these low quality imitations because they do not have the tradition and precision engineering of the original. A Fischer space pen, generic astronaut pens and the spacepens are not the quality pieces that astronauts, policemen, fire fighters and more have come to rely upon for reliable function under extreme circumstances.

Fisher Space Pen refills

Official Fisher Space Pen refills are important because the ink cartridge is the secret behind the incredible performance of these precision writing instruments. The thixotropic ink used will not run because it is semi-solid until the rolling action of the ball actually liquifies it. Gasses in the cartridge keep the ink pressurized so that the pen can be used at any angle, even upside down, and even in zero gravity without losing ink flow. Only Fisher Space Pen refills will offer this amazing level of performance.
