The crew of NASA's Apollo 11, the first manned mission to land on the Moon, fulfilled the goal set by President John F. Kennedy , that the United States would reach the lunar surface by the end of the 1960's.
Launched on July 16, 1969 , it carried a crew of three: Commander Neil Alden Armstrong, Command Module Pilot Michael Collins, and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin Eugene "Buzz" Aldrin, Jr. On July 20, Armstrong and Aldrin became the first humans to land on the Moon, while Collins orbited above the lunar surface.

History in your hand.

I just received this AG740 Apollo 11 40th Anniversary Space Pen from UPS today. What can i say other than i feel like Im holding history in my hand. Its beautiful, with the special engraving on it, listing the Astronauts names, a picture of the landing with Astronaut and flag on the barrel. It comes in a nice case with a sleeve and a historical overview. Its all high quality and feels solid in your hand. Nice weight and feels natural when holding. The mechanical part of the pen feels solid and very well built.
When you click the top to expose the ink you can feel it positively lock in place. When retracting the cartridge with the side button you'll feel the cartridge side back into the barrel. The way the writes is amazing. I've never felt a pen write so smoothly before. And knowing it will write in hot, cold or any angle makes me confident of the quality and craftsmanship of this pen.
